As part of a development strategy and where possible and pragmatic to do so, it is advisable to undertake a programme of consultation and engagement with local communities and their representatives. This is particularly important for major development proposals, although should also at least be considered, in relation to smaller development proposals.
The size and scale of proposals will inform the nature and type of consultation and engagement that should be undertaken. This could vary from simply engaging directly with neighbouring properties who may be affected by proposals, to formally arranged exhibitions or community liaison groups.
We are well adept at preparing and implementing effective and appropriate strategies for consultation and engagement. Where necessary, this also includes appropriate input from our specialist collaborative partners to ensure that all potential issues are addressed in an informative, independent and competent manner.
